Science
This term in Grade 7 Science, students have been diving into the fascinating world of forces and motion. Our unit has focused on understanding how different forces act on objects and influence their movement. The key concepts explored include balanced and unbalanced forces, net force, gravity, and the role of simple machines in making work easier.
To bring these ideas to life, students have engaged in hands-on investigations and interactive lessons. One of the highlights has been the parachute design challenge, where some classes are applying their knowledge of gravity and air resistance to create and test parachutes. This activity encourages creativity, problem-solving, and scientific thinking.
We’ve also introduced a new digital learning platform called Stile, which has been a hit with many students. Stile allows learners to access lessons and resources from anywhere, making it easier to catch up or revisit key concepts at their own pace.
It’s been a dynamic and engaging term, and we’re proud of the curiosity and effort our Grade 7 students have shown in exploring the forces that shape our world.
