The launch of our latest school production is imminent. Cast and crew are putting in some significant rehearsal time in the lead-up and are eagerly awaiting the first show.

Morning Teas

We held our Grade 7 and 8 celebration morning teas this week. Over one hundred parents, grandparents or carers joined us to celebrate the achievements of our students from the first half of the year. We shared letters of commendation to many students who have been having a red-hot-go in all of their Australian Curriculum subjects during Terms 1 and 2.

A number of students were recognised for their very high academic achievements and evidence of a deep connection with their learning.

WELL DONE to all students who received certificates on the day.

I was very impressed with the morning tea created by our student catering team with great feedback from all who attended.

Derby Experience

Thank you to Mr Innes and Mrs Pooley who have created a fabulous opportunity this week for students to experience mountain biking on the tracks around Derby. Our Grade 9 and 10 students were able to experience an overnight camp with many challenges for them to overcome. At Queechy we strongly support the creation of supported risk-taking as provided through programs such as this. Well done to all students who attended, great memories are now in place!
