HaSS
Students in HaSS don’t just cover History. HaSS also includes Geography, Civics and Citizenship and Business and Economics. Students will be exposed to many sub-topics, including democracy and our political system, taxation, laws, tourism, water as a resource, sustainability, human wellbeing (and how it is measured) and so many other interesting things.
In HaSS this term, Grade 7's have covered Civics and Citizenship, as well as a Geography unit on Place and Liveability.
Grade 8's have investigated the rise of Urbanisation around the world and completed a unit on Business and Economics.
In Grade 9, students have continued to research Australian History, around the time of the European settlement onwards.
Grade 10's have learned about key turning points of WWII and Australia’s involvement, specifically looking at
North Africa, the bombing of Darwin, Kokoda and experiences of Prisoners of War.
