UTAS Excursion
On Wednesday 13 March, 38 students across grade 10/11/12 participated in the Exploring Education Pathways (EEP) run by The Smith Family at both University campuses in Launceston.
The aim of the program is for the students to engage with staff from the university to learn about their pathway options and student life post-secondary school as they set out to make decisions around subject selections and career pathways.
The aim of the AMC and UTAS event is to:
- Provide an opportunity for students to come to campus and experience some of the facilities at AMC / UTAS
- Showcase the careers on offer to graduates of AMC
- De-mystify the university experience through informal and formal conversations with UTAS staff and student ambassadors.
Overall, our students were respectful, attentive and followed all instructions all day and we were very pleased with behaviour throughout the day.
We look forward to providing our students further career pathway learning opportunities throughout the course of 2024.
